FLIGHT OPTION: FRANKFURT & DB TRAIN Check flights to Cologne, but you may find it less expensive and more convenient to fly to Frankfurt (FRA) and get on the Deutsche Bahn ICE Train at the airport to Cologne. (Train fares range from €30-67). The ICE train is literally at the airport (Frankfurt Flughafen) and takes 50-60 minutes from Frankfurt to the downtown Köln Hbf station. Approximately 2 trains run every hour.
